Another Card Making Class At the Lasting Impression
I had another card making and distress ink coloring at the lasting impression last July 6, 2013 with a very ecstatic group of ladies who were somehow new to cardmaking. I was so happy because all of them were very enthusiastic and willing to learn all through out the whole class.
Here are the cards we worked on:
this criss cross card with a gorjuss girl stamp theme which we embellished with miniature flowers on the side.
a flower embellished tilda with a pop up i love you message inside.

a princess pea tilda card embellished with miniature flowers, laces and pearls.
The whole day was a blast, not only because of the projects that we created but also because of the fact that the lovely students I worked with enjoyed what they were doing. I hope that I get the chance to work with them again in the near future

Princess Pea Tilda in a shadow box card
Here's my latest creation. I had time to work on this yesterday and came up with this very lovely shadow box card:
The Magnolia Stamp I used is the princess pea tilda colored with distress ink. I embelished the side with a rose that i sprinkled with white and gold enamel. I added some white tool around the card and used some florish cut outs. I also used a metallic blue embossing powder on the sentiment.
I am very happy every time I have the chance to finish a new creation and I cant start to make a new one.

May 22 Card Making Class at the Lasting Impression
i had a class last saturday at the lasting impression and i would like to share to you the cards that i taught to the participants.
This is a center step card and I used a saturated canary stamp for the main theme. I embelished it with hand made flowers using the spellbinder die, the butterfly is a die from cheery lynn. The center background was cut using a marian die while the floral side embelishments were cut using a memory box die.
I prepared 3 sets of different cards for the class and i made sure that each card will stand out.
This is very simple and easy but its also a very interesting and fun to make card. Again, since I really really love Magnolia stamps, i used this Tilda with Dafodil stamp that we colored with distress ink. The dye cut i used for the window is from Memory Box and the Branch is from spell binder. The leaves and the flowers were made using punch bunch.
For this card, I used joyful tilda stamp which we also colored with distress ink. Tilda was cut using the spellbinder oval die cutter with scalops. I used the Magnolia die for the flowers and the joy fleur de lis die colomn that has a lace like pattern in the middle.
its such a shame that I wasnt able to take a picture of the class itself but Im happy that all of the participants had a wonderful time making this 3 unique cards.

May 11 Class at The Yellow Violet House: Water Coloring and Card Making with Exploding Box Mini Album
The projects I taught at for my workshop at The Yellow Violet House were all Mother's Day Inspired. I was lucky to share how to create a dainty card dedicated for moms.
Here are some photos of the card:
Here's a photo of m student's finished product for the day:
What a happy class it was!
Here are some photos of the card:
To make it more special I threw in some hand made flowers in the kit for the card itself. The hand made flower is very easy to make and believe it or not, i just used some of the many scrap papers that I have lying around. Thats why I highly recommend for everyone not to throw away scrap papers. It might be useful in your future proects.
Here's a photo of the finished product:
I also taught a very unique and special project really suited for Mother's Day. The Exploding Box Mini Album. When I was trying to make this project by myself for the first time, I was very excited with all the techniques and ideas I have in mind that I can use for it. I felt like it will be a very fun way to honor your love ones and really keep memories boxed up. Once the box is opened, an explosion of fun times through pictures can be showcased.
in the middle of the box is a cherry blossom tree. |

For my mother's day special
Greetings to all the mothers and mothers to be. Its never easy to be a mom. Being a mother is a full time career with no hope for promotions and the only income you get is a smile and a kiss from your child. A never ending commitment and obligation that will guide them as the year pass by.
Happy mothers day everyone.
Happy mothers day everyone.

A Memorable Day At the Yellow Violet House
Following my teaching stint at Lasting, I was given the chance by the Yellow Violet House to also share my talent to their interested scrappers.

Distress Ink Coloring and Card Making Class at Lasting Impression
Last April 13, 2013, I held my very crafting class at Lasting Impression in San Juan. Im so happy and thankful at the same time for having a full class considering that its my first time to teach.
We started with the distress ink coloring. I showed my students the techniques and used and learned from researching online. I can say that the internet is really a wonder when it comes to crafting as it opens new doors and opportunities for me to enhance my creativity. Even though I already have some knowledge in distress ink coloring,
A lot of people are generous enough to share their techniques just like Susan Lee, based in Dubai, who helped me a lot by giving me tips and sharing her knowledge on how to color using distress ink. I also learned from Iris Uy when it comes to mix media and because of them, i got inspired to share my talent and knowledge in crafting
I prepared 3 different card designs for the class.
I had a memorable time teaching this techniques and I feel good in being able to see others complete the project. I would like to thank Vivian Uy of lasting Impression for giving the opportunity to teach and also everybody who attended the class for making it fun and lively. Im looking forward to teaching more techniques soon!

Since its summer, i thought of using this bath cap tilda stamp for this 6x6 card. i added some small pearls and a cute little ribbon to embelish it. |
Thanks So Much! A Special Request
A student who was about to graduate cannot think of something special to give to his professors as a token of gratitude for their help throughout the years of teaching him at school.
He asked for my help and I came up with this little project. of colorful cascaded thank you cards.
I used Pirate Edwin #66 for his male professors:
I also used some small embelishments like a cute pink and white flower tied with a small bow for the female cards and a tiny heart cut out with a blue string and small buttons.
I really had fun making this set and I find it really thoughtful for the student to remember his professors on his graduation day that's why I couldn't say no when he asked for my help!

I would like to start my update by posting this cute little card I made with a taylor tilda stamp that i colored with distress ink. I also used a tim holtz dye cut (sewing room) for the spool and added some flower embelishments that i found really pretty. I love using Magnolia Stamps especially Tilda.
Here is a snap shot of the inner part of the card:
I shall be posting a couple of more cards from my past projects on my next entries. stay tuned!.
